Compassion Creates Change Nicaragua: Overview

You can be part of a Compassion Creates Change™ Transformational Engagement Team headed to Managua, Nicaragua. Transformational Engagement Teams participate in projects that demonstrate the transforming love of God and focus on community development initiatives alongside the children and families in the villages where we serve. Service missions partner in projects just like these:

•Construct a community park beside in a partnering village

•Host nutrition screening and medical exams for vulnerable children

•Offer a Children's VBS Camp (Child Development Program)

•Participate in community health initiatives: distributing mosquito nets, hammocks, and anti-parasite medication

•Construct a church, school or other essential facility

But, to create change we need you: Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, and Construction specialists. We need teachers, cooks, and Spanish translators. Mostly, we need those who are willing to do whatever is needed – pick-up a paint brush, prepare a sack lunch, lead arts and crafts, coordinate project logistics, or give a hug to a hurting child.

Transformational Engagement Teams to Nicaragua are designed to be multi-generational – an experience that seasoned professionals, single adults, youth groups, and entire family units can share together. Youth, ages 15-18, can travel with a parental release form and an assigned guardian; children under 15 must travel with a parent.
