Compassion Creates Change™  is a Christian non-profit that connects people around the causes that are close to God’s heart. With each and every community project, program, service initiative, or missions opportunity, this Christian non-profit works to leverage capacities at the community level, address social needs, create strategic and lasting change for the vulnerable and underserved, and empower the next generation of change-makers.

In 2008, Selena Holston-Gabriel created Compassion Creates Change™ as a missions initiative while serving as Pastor of Compassionate Ministries and Global Missions Partnerships at Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene (PazNaz). The work began through community development projects in Los Angeles and Central America. The ministry grew and in 2012, Selena and the founding board (with the support of PazNaz) established Compassion Creates Change™ as a non-profit.

Selena has been devoted to the global health and welfare of children and to sustainable methods of community transformation for more than 20 years. She has served children and families on the front lines of international relief work, compassionate ministry, global missions partnerships, and community development projects in the U.S. and throughout Latin America. Through Compassion Creates Change™, the work has focused on organizing medical missions and nutrition therapy programs, providing safe parks and play spaces, clean water projects, constructing schools and churches, and more.

Compassion Creates Change™ is currently accomplishing its mission through the following overarching priorities:
